Panasonic just unleashed a promotion that consist of augmented reality with the iPhone. Through an app, called 3D VIERA AR Greeting in your iPhone, Just point it at a specially designed Panasonic t-shirt and watch as a virtual Viera television appears on your chest which then displays 3D animals emerging from the screen. If Panasonic could somehow make their 3D televisions as magically engaging as this AR promotion, we might finally see the uptick in 3D TV sales the industry has been hoping for.
